About the Business Associate Agreement
The Business Associate Agreement (BAA) is a legally binding contract required under HIPAA whenever a healthcare provider shares Protected Health Information (PHI) with a third-party service provider (Business Associate).
As a TherapySolo user, you (the Covered Entity) enter into a BAA with TherapySolo (the Business Associate) that governs how we handle, protect, and maintain the confidentiality of your patients' PHI.
What the BAA Covers
- Permitted uses and disclosures of PHI
- Safeguards we implement to protect PHI
- Breach notification procedures
- Termination and data return/destruction provisions
- Compliance with HIPAA Security Rule and Privacy Rule
